We will also be having corporate prayer at the church on Friday evenings at 6:00 p.m.

Matthew 6:16-18 “Whenever you fast, do not put on a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they neglect their appearance so that they will be noticed by men when they are fasting.  Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.  But you, when you fast, anoint your heard and wash your face so that your fasting will not be noticed by men, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.”

The Answer

The world is a mess.  The world has gone mad.  There is no sense of unity, our world has become tribal. Races against races, women against men, us against them.  Love has fled the scence, and decency and order has slid out the window.  We, saints, have become so indocrinated with the world and its’ problems, that we have forgotten who sits on the throne.  We have lost our minds in the chaos, and that we are losing peace over things that don’t matter, is shameful.

It doesn’t matter, who won are didn’t win the election.  God was not shocked nor was God concerned, either way it went God had the final say. What is disconcerting is that the church of God has gone just as crazy as the world.  Hillary didnt win! What are we going to do? Answer: Trust God and do good..  Trump won! What are we going to do? Answer: Trust God and do good.  And if the election had turned and Hillary would have won..we still should have the same answer: Trust God and do good.

We are not of this kingdom, God is our head and that’s the truth that we need to stand under.  The world is crumbling before us and we as the church need to be in a position to point those that are looking for truth to The Truth, which is Jesus the only begotten Son of God.  We have to realize that God is bigger than all the Earth.  That He is greater than our situations or circumstances. He is bigger than anything we could ever imagine or dream of.  So this Thanksgiving lets change the way think, change the way we see ourselves and the world we live in.  Let’s be the people that God called us to be.  Let’s be strong and very courageous. Let’s be that stable place, in the midst of madness let us be a place calmness.

Foundation

In an age where truth is laugh at and morals are nonexistent, we as Believers need to make sure that we are rooted and grounded in the Faith.  This post is not really written for the babies in Christ, this is written with the season saints in mines. We are entering into turbulent times all sense of decency and order is gone.  To hear a minister speak foundational truth is rare. We have enter a time where we as a body sing and shout about fruit that we will never harvest because we have no roots.  At the core of our being Jesus has to have preeminence and if that is not true in your life, are you really a follower of Christ. Being a follower of Christ has nothing to do with what church you attend, or how holy you pretend to be. It doesnt matter how talented you are or your rank and position in the church. It doesn’t matter how beautiful your voice, your voice can be so wonderful that angels weep when you sing. You can wear long dresses, you can walk around carrying a family bible bigger than a 40 year old midget. All of that is counted as nothingness, if God is not just the head of your life but He is your life. If you are not willing to sacrifice your all for Him, like the father of our faith Abraham, than you not fit for the kingdom. If you haven’t counted up the cost, denied yourself daily, and carrying your cross with holy joy and peace, than do you really believe.  We sit in church Sunday after Sunday, but we don’t make real progress, nothing changes but the day.

I challenge you to fall in love with Jesus again. I beg you to begin spending time in His presence, that is how you become rooted and grounded in the Faith.  Start your day in faith, refuse to make a move without consulting God first. Don’t let church just be something you attend a day or two a week, let it be where you are the church, where ever you find yourself at, you know God is with you because God resides in the Tabernacle of your Heart. And when we get back to that, than we will carry the glory.

Faith is a Decision

Faith is a decision, it is not an emotion or a feeling.  Faith is praising God even in a state of pain or inner turmoil. Faith is only mastered once it’s tried in fire, and after the fire burns out your faith is still there.  You will never understand the cost of God’s favor on your life until your faith has been tested.

Do you or I really have faith? Will we serve God when He tells us no? Will we still be singing His praises if our love one dies, spouse walks away with no explanation, we lose our job, we are betrayed? Will we still quote scripture, when we do everything right and it still turns out wrong? Can I stand on His promises even when Heaven is silent?

These are true teachings of Christ.  He never promised us a life filled with rainbows, happiness, and puppies. He did promise us, a cross to bear and suffering. I think we as followers of Christ, has mislead a generation until a false sense of Christianity. Christianity is a religion of suffering and overcoming and persevering even under immense hardship. Our reward was never promised on this side of Heaven. The book of Hebrews speaks of people, followers of the one true God who died in Faith, who died without the promises of God fulfilled in their earthly lifetime.  I too have realized that I have been bamboozled into believing in a fraudulent form of Christianity.  I have to remind myself that I have surrendered my life to a suffering Christ. If my Lord and Savior suffered why do I feel surprised when I wake up in tears.

Stepping into Faith

Faith is a combination of believing or not believing, doing or not doing something, just because God said it and I believe it.  Faith can be classified as both brilliant and dumb all at the same time. Faith is the epidemy of stupidity. The very definition of insanity.   When you are being led by faith there is an inner drive or knowing, that this what I am supposed to do even though I don’t know exactly what or why I am doing what I am doing, I just do it.  Faith is action and sometime Faith is static. Sometimes Faith is not doing what you want to do because for some reason your internal guidance is going crazy. Its a feeling in the pit of your stomach, a gnawing feeling, telling you to be quiet and hold. still.  Stepping into faith can make your peers look at you differently.  Faith can make people you love, shun you.  Faith can lead you into a place of deep depression, because Faith can stripped all you thought you knew, love, or had, away from you.

  • Faith is lonely. Faith is what separates the chickens from the eagles.  Both the chickens and the eagles are birds. Both have wings.  What separates the two is when they where just chicks, the eagle’s mother pushed the baby eagles out of the nest. The baby eagles had two choices fly or die. The baby chickens wasn’t given a choice, no other chickens are out flying so there was no push.

I grew up in a chicken environment. I was always told what I couldn’t do, what I couldn’t have. I didn’t accomplish much because I didn’t believe I could do much. That all changed once I meant Jesus. Church don’t tell the whole story. I realize there are plenty of people who go to church but not a lot of people know God. God doesn’t have any chicken children. If you are really God’s child you have two options fly or die. God pushes us into greatness.  He makes us go farther, we go from Faith to Faith and from Glory to Glory. There are no wimps in God’s army. Throughout writings of the New Testament Jesus reveals to us that God is not moved by our tears, pain, or conditions. God is concern with what you believe.  When Jesus meant the paralysed man who laid by a pool for almost four decades, Jesus didn’t comfort or consoled the man.  He basically gave the man two options pick up your bed and walk or lay in your pain and die.

Faith is what pleases God. If you have Faith and a belief that with God you can do anything, than you can do anything. Faith is what is what sustains you. Faith is what makes you keep fighting, when every one else leaves the battlefield. Faith makes you praise God in sadness. Faith is being ridiculed for over a 100 years, while building an arc for rain, when you or anyone else you know, doesn’t have the slightest clue what rain is, because it had never rained before.

I AM STILL GOD’S CHILD

Lord God give me the grace to just stand.  Sometimes it seems that I can’t tell my days from my nights. If the wind don’t cease, and the storms continue brew, help me to know that You are still with me.  Help to realize that I am not in this Hell by myself.  Help me to realize when it feels like I am drowning in the abyss of depression, that I am really being held up by your right hand.  When the people I love hate me without a cause, help me to remember that I am still your child. When I am sad, when I am broke, when I am lonely, when I feel like I  am in this thing by myself I am still your child.  My feelings, circumstances, situations, nor my conditions change my position, I am still God’s child.  I may be penniless or even friendliness, but I am still God’s child.
